On a recent trip through Georgia, we had the pleasure of staying at Red Gate Farms RV Resort in Savannah, and it was an all-around excellent experience. This campground is perfectly positioned—just minutes from both downtown Savannah and Interstate 95, making it a super convenient stop whether you’re heading north or south.
Getting into the park was very easy, even with a big rig. The gravel RV lots are level and spacious, providing a smooth and stress-free setup. The campground is set in a somewhat open field, which gives it a nice rural charm but also means you’ll get plenty of direct sun—something to keep in mind during those warmer months. On the plus side, this openness makes it a great spot for Starlink users and we had strong cell signal throughout our stay.
Amenities
Red Gate Farms isn’t just a convenient stop—it’s a destination in itself. The park has a surprisingly charming country store, stocked with snacks, camping supplies, and local touches that give it real character.
There’s also a nice pool on-site, perfect for cooling off in the Georgia heat. But one of the most unique features has to be the horseback riding experiences available right there on the property. It’s not something you find at every RV park, and it definitely adds to the Southern charm and resort-like vibe of the place.
